Ph.D. Candidate - Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs & at the Van Vollenhoven Institute at Leiden University Hannah Bliersbach is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs as well as the Van Vollenhoven Institute at Leiden University. Her research under the supervision of Prof. Olaf van Vliet and Prof. Maartje van der Woude focuses on citizenship acquisition and crimmigration in Canada and Germany at the intersection of political science, public administration, sociology & law.
She received her BA in Political Science, Sociology & English Studies from the University of Bonn in 2017 and her MRes in Political Science and Public Administration from Leiden University in 2019. She subsequently taught Academic Skills and Statistics that the Political Science Institute at Leiden University before starting her Ph.D.
