PhD Candidate in Economics and Governance of Migration - Leiden University College Giacomo Boffi is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics and Governance of Migration jointly appointed by the Department of Economics and Leiden University College. His Ph.D. research is conducted within the inter-disciplinary focus area ‘Citizenship, Migration and Global Transformations’. His Ph.D. research examines various dynamics of the integration process for migrants in developed countries. In particular, through a microeconomic approach, he addresses some of the welfare and labour market challenges faced by migrants in Western countries. Currently, he is based in Paris for collaboration with the OECD on a chapter of the International Migration Outlook 2022.
