Mausumi Moran Chetia

Mausumi Moran Chetia is a PhD Researcher with the International Institute of Social Studies [ISS-EUR] in The Hague. Her research is part of the Erasmus Initiative called Vital Cities and Citizens [VCC]. She researches with disaster-displaced communities - on meanings of home and their relation to human security in context of discursive politics and disaster governance in Assam, India. Before her PhD candidacy, Mausumi worked as a humanitarian aid professional in India for over six years. She engaged with regional humanitarian organisations, national and global networks, and higher education institutions, on policy-advocacy work on climate change and disaster risk reduction programmes among others.
