Dr. Jim Been

Dr. J. (Jim) Been is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics at Leiden University. He is a research fellow of Netspar and board member of the Netherlands Institute for Social Insurances (NISZ). His research interests include applying (micro)econometric techniques to socioeconomic policy issues, including unemployment, income & poverty, retirement, consumption & savings pensions, health, and education. As an LDE GMD Research Fellow, Jim is the coordinator of the “Scriptiewerkplaats Den Haag” for the masters Economics & Governance and Management van de Publieke Sector.
